Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter an John and realized that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they were amazed and recognized them as companions of Jesus.
My most faithful followers have sometimes been geniuses and sometimes they have been average. Some of them have been legendarily noble and moral, and some of them have had a shady past…some even struggle to do right even after they have committed themselves to me. Some have been kings and some have been sex workers. What matters to me about their followers is that their hearts long for relationship with me and they are boldly, unapologetically seeking to do my will, even when they fail. You are part of a long legacy of faithful servants, and I hope you feel them at your back, supporting and encouraging you. Today I invite you to pray for the boldness of Peter and John, knowing you are just as worthy and just as chosen and just as needed for your time as they were for theirs. You are a true companion of Jesus and I want the world to recognize you as such.
