1 April Liberating Love Devotion

Your weekly love note from God!

2 Samuel 5:12 David then perceived that the Lord had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.

My son Saul fell away from my path and my son David stepped into his place. Part of the reason that began well was because David knew that his role as king was to care for his people Israel. Whenever he lost sight of that, things went really wrong. That is true for you, too, even if you are not a king. You will know greater harmony when what you are doing is for the sake of my people than when you are seeking only your own gain. You have the power to affect the lives of my beloved children around you. I trust you with that power. Today I ask you to reflect on the power you have as my faithful servant and how to wield it well for my sake.
